With the magnificent Outeniqua Mountains as a backdrop, Kingswood Golf Estate offers an exciting 18-hole course that promises to challenge golfers at all levels.
This isn’t a very long course, hence the strong bunkering style. The toughest part of the course is the par 3s. These are very aesthetic and demanding. There are three very tough par 4s (13, 14 and 16) and one very strong par 5 (15). The balance of the holes is not long and are player friendly. The concept is to have eight really strong holes, and 10 which vary in length and relative difficulty. The course is actually a parkland type of course, but it does have a links feel to it due to the bunkering and the grasses used. All the roughs are planted with indigenous grasses native to South Africa. The fairways are Kikuyu and the greens are Bent Grass.
